So a friend of mine gets let go of his marketing gig he has had for a few years because someone bought the company "and has to make a position for his wife". Whatever, kid is talented. Listen to his bitching and deflated ego for a bit. I offer to get him a job interview tomorrow by calling the owner of a partner firm of mine, who I know will appreciate his talents. What does he say, not thanks but no thanks, but more like well screw you I am making a self promotional video and I will send it to every company I know of in the state, and I will put that company on the list to receive it. Well, I tried... my good will is spent for the day. Good luck! Maybe you will end up looking for your stapler!

People can be a-holes like that.
It pisses me off when I offer to refer a resume for someone and they decline or they say sure sounds good and never send the resume.
(no I'm not talking in anyway about you yesterday because I didn't think my company would be able to hire you unfortunately lol, incredibly odd timing for all this.)

Ha wow, so turn down an interview where you have a good reference to try and self promote across the state (in what I could only assume to be a "look what you just let go" to the company that just let him go).

probably. He does have a pretty big ego, but his talents make up for it. This was a job in town, not the 30 minute commute he used to have, and I know he would have been making more money. Unreal

Haha, timing is just crazy. I'm mainly complaining about a friend of mine who I offered to refer in to my current company (who i referred into my OLD company where he still works) and bitches about his pay and boss.
Where's the resume then jackass?!
If he complains in front of me again that's what he'll hear.

Yeah no shit dude I referred a friend from my old company that was miserable in the same position I was miserable in. My new company (which is awesome) interviewed him for a position and it wasnt "exactly what he was looking for" so he TURNED THEM DOWN!!!!!!!! They even tried to talk to him about a different position. And it was one that would have put his body in the door for him to move up to that dream position of his. Jesus christ it pissed me off so much
